How Do You Create An Internet Radio Station?
Live365 is a Web site that allows users to create and listen to Internet radio stations created by other users. There is a vast selection of music there, and if you become a member (free!) you can add your own music mix to the collection for other users to hear. Assemble your play list in a folder on your local hard drive. Tunes must be saved as MP3s at a bit rate slower than 56K. Tune your browser to Live365.com. Follow the “Sign Up” link and navigate your way through the brief sign-up process. Go back to the home page and click “Create Your Own Broadcast.” (You may have to pay a fee, but there’s usually a free trial available.) Decide whether you want to pre-record your broadcast and have it looped at Live365 or if you want to broadcast live. Follow the on-screen instructions for the upload method you choose. Broadcast your groove to the world!
