How Do You Create An Authentic Rust Look?

0

Learn how to create authentic iron rust finish. Clean the item of your choice from dust, oil, dirt. Apply coat of Acid Blocking Primer (Modern Masters). You can use paint brush roller or HVLP spray gun. Recoat in an hour and let dry for 12 hours. This is an important step. Once the primer is dry apply coat of Iron Paint(Modern Masters). This paint is very thick and needs to be stirred really good. We have used brush to apply this paint as we did not figure how to use it in a spray gun as of yet. Recoat in an hour and repeat until you have solid iron coating. This paint will start oxidite on its own but to speed it up go to next step. Once all dry apply Rust Activator (Modern Masters) wait 5 minutes and reapply. Let dry and enjoy the look. Once you do this make sure to let me know how you like the result.
