How Do You Create A Windows Vista Startup Disk Download?
Microsoft Windows Vista does not provide a startup or recovery disk for users. A startup disk is used to fix a corrupt or faulty installation of Vista. It is also used to reinstall Vista when your computer hard drive has been attacked by a virus that cannot be removed. To create a Vista startup disk it is essential to download an ISO or a disk image file. Since Microsoft doesn’t provide the disk image, you must download it from external websites. Download the startup disk ISO file for Microsoft Windows Vista (see Resources). You can choose either the 32- or 64-bit edition. Make a selection and download the ISO file to a secured location on your hard disk. Insert a blank DVD in your CD/DVD-ROM drive. Wait while Vista loads the disk and opens a dialog box called “Autoplay”. Click to choose “Burn files to data disc”. This will burn your startup disk in “Live File System” format.
