Here’s a step by step guide on how to create your own virtual pet at one of the largest virtual pet sites: Neopets. Go to the Neopets site (see Resources below). Click on the banner that says “Sign Up!” Neopets is free for all so don’t worry about having to pay. Once you’ve clicked on the link, it will ask for a username and password. Fill out your username and check for availability. After you’ve selected a username that is not already taken, create your password and check the box that you agree to the Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy. Then click “Next.” Enter your first name, gender, birthday, state, and zip code. You do not have to enter your city if you do not want to.
