Create a Timeline using any version of Microsoft Word by creating a two column table. Open Microsoft Word, click on TABLE, Insert, Table, click in the “Number of Columns” box, type 2. Click in the “Number of Rows” box, type the number of rows you need. Try 10 rows to start with and insert more rows later. Click on OK. Adjust the column width by clicking and dragging the center column to the left making the column large enough to hold a date. Click in the first cell and type the first date using MM/DD/Year format. Tab to the next cell and type the corresponding information. Tab or click in the first cell in the next row and continue entering dates and the information. Be sure to save your table often and know the name and location of your table.
