A press kit is a valuable tool in generating more media attention for your stand-up comedy act. A well-written press kit will result in more exposure as it creates less work for reporters who want to interview you. Information in your press kit should be neat and easy to understand and contain only the most important information about you and your act. While you can hire a publicist to create a press kit, you can easily create a professional-looking kit on your own and save yourself some money. Hire a photographer to take head shots.
