Create a beautiful salad with edible flowers. There are many flowers that are edible and easy to grow. Different types and colors selections can be used to create an endless variety of combinations for a unique salad or food garnishes. Choose edible flower seeds such as pansy, nasturtium, viola, calendula and marigold. Fill several peat pots with planter soil. Plant the seeds in the peat pots according to your choice of flowers and variation of colors. Place the peat pots containing the flower seeds in a shallow tray adding enough water to keep the soil moist. Plant the peat pots outside when the plants are about 3 or 4 inches high and the weather is past the danger of frost. When the flowers bloom pick the flowers and colors of your choice, keeping the stems somewhat of uniform length. Gently rinse the flowers in cold water and place them in a rather shallow, decorative bowl. Place the container with the flowers in the refrigerator, preferably in the vegetable drawer until it is time
