How Do You Create A Recyclable Earth Day Project For Kids?
Each year on April 22 we celebrate Earth Day. It is important for parents and teachers to educate children about the environment they live in. Earth Day brings this topic to light. One way to teach children how they can participate in helping their planet is to have them create an Earth Day project. The project can use recycled plastic, and even seeds to plant herbs or flowers. Save some plastic milk jugs as you finish using them. If you are creating a project for your classroom, ask each student to collect one milk jug. Make they wash out the milk jugs. Use a pair of scissors to cut the tops off each of the milk jugs. You want to cut around the milk jug, just below its handle. Rip a bunch of colored tissue paper into small pieces. The pieces can be different shapes and sizes. Add one-third cup of water to two-thirds cup of glue. Mix together. Apply the glue mixture to the outside of the plastic milk jug with a paintbrush.
