Every little girl wants to be a princess, so what better way to make your daughter feel like one than to give her a princess-themed bedroom of her own? Despite what many of the home-decorating shows might tell you, you can decorate a child’s room and still stay within your budget. Here are some tips on how to create a princess-themed bedroom for your little girl, and not spend a fortune in the process. Paint the walls a rich, royal color. Purple, burgundy, green or other deep colors are perfect. Use cardboard or plastic to make stencils of crowns, wands, or castles. Use contrasting colors of paint with these to create a border, either at the ceiling line or at just above the horizontal center of the wall. If you’re really ambitious or creative, think about painting a castle scene on one wall, or adding your child’s name in a scrolling, royal script.
