Just follow these brief, simple steps to make yours. Open a new Microsoft Excel document. In the first row, use the first two or more cells to enter your variables. These should be the categories you want in your pie chart. For example, if you want to build a chart communicating the results of an election, these first few cells in row one should be the candidates’ names. In row two, enter the data corresponding to the row one categories.
