Creating an automated security schedule for your home network can enable you to rest easy, knowing that all required security operations for your computer setup are being performed on time, without the need for manual intervention. This is accomplished using the Scheduled Tasks tool within your operating system, allowing you to set the desired parameters for your network security maintenance. Click on the “Start” menu, open the All Programs list, click on the Accessories folder, and open the System Tools folder. Open the Scheduled Tasks program. Click on the “Add Scheduled Task” button and select the network security program that you wish to run from the list that appears. Assign a name to the task and choose a frequency from the list that appears, including daily performance, weekly performance or monthly performance of the task.
