How Do You Create A Monthly Quality Objectives Chart In Openoffice Spreadsheet?

0

In this How-To I will demonstrate the process for creating an objectives chart in OpenOffice.org Calc (Spreadsheet). This is really similar to the process for Microsoft Excel. The “Quality Process” we will be tracking will be plotted monthly with actual measurement, goal and trend line. Open up a new spreadsheet and input your data as shown in the image. Label each column above the data with the labels you would like to appear on the chart. Select the data along with the column labels by dragging the mouse or by holding the shift key and using the cursors. With the data selected press the chart button. The chart dialog box will open. Choose line chart type and pick the lines without points. Click finish. Add actual values to your chart. Select the chart then select the actual values line (the blue line in the pictured chart). The selection can be frustrating at first, be sure to slowly hover the cursor over the line until it changes to the select cursor and left click the right click.
