It helps to have natural artistic skill, but with practice and a visual aide, you can learn to make a model of a woman’s body. Many different kinds of material can be used to make a model, but one of the easiest to use and preserve is oven bake clay, or “polymer clay”. All this clay requires is a conventional oven in which to harden. Decide how you will scale your model. If your model is five and a half feet (66 inches) tall and you want to scale the model at two inches for each foot of the woman’s actual height, you would make the model 11 inches tall. You will be baking the clay in a conventional oven, so take into account the size of the inside of your oven when deciding how large to make the model.
