How Do You Create A Loch Ness “Nessie” Monster For Halloween?
Below are the instructions for creating a simple Loch Ness monster or “Nessie” for your next Halloween party. This Loch Ness “Nessie” was created using a simple construction method of 4 wire tomato cages, black garbage bags, newspaper, black electrical tape and a tin maple syrup bucket. Starting with the head, use a wire tomato cage and slightly bend the top (the rounded end) to form a small arch shape. Insert the open end of a tin bucket (here we used a tin bucket used to gather maple syrup from trees) over the end of the tomato cage and push it securely on. Use a black plastic trash bag to cover the entire head (leaving the prongs on the end exposed for pushing into the earth) and tape securely on with black electrical tape. Use the bottom end of the cage to push into the dirt to create the illusion that Nessie is popping her head out of the ground (or water).
