How Do You Create A Large Site Map?
Sitemaps are a logical way to list all of the Web pages that make up a complete website. Sitemaps have multiple purposes. The main purpose is for search engine optimization. Major search engines penalize websites if they don’t have a sitemap page, because the sitemap shows the search engine spiders the flow of your site. The other purpose for a sitemap is to make navigating the website easier for visitors. Automated tools exist to simplify the process of building a sitemap, or you can create one manually. Navigate to a free sitemap-generator website (see Resources section). Enter your website URL in the text entry box. Leave all of the options on the default settings. Click the site’s “start” button. Wait until the script is finished running. Press the link to download the XML sitemap. These free software scripts will compile a logical list of all of your website pages.
