How Do You Create A Jewel Case Picture Frame?
This is a great project for kids to make gifts for parents, grandparents, etc. Although this particular design utilizes ribbons and flowers, you can choose any embellishments you like: rhinestones, stickers, paint pens, etc. Be creative! Choose your jewel case. You can use either a case that can with a CD or one that was purchased separately. This one was purchased separately and has a colored back. Measure and cut the lengths of ribbon for the edges of your frame. This one used 2 lengths of blue ribbon and 1 length of silver ribbon for the top and bottom edges, and 1 length each for the sides. (This ribbon is about 1/4 of an inch wide, but any ribbon will work.) Cut the ribbon a little long. It can be trimmed later. Using the glue gun, attach the ribbon starting at the outer edges and working in. Make sure to overlap the corners so nothing is showing through.
