There are many talented graphic artists and designers out there, and if you’re one of them, you need to stand out when it comes to your portfolio. A body of work can be impressive, but if its presentation is not professional and polished, it may get looked over. In order to stand out, the actual work must be up to standard just as much as its presentation. Gather all your work; as much work as you can bring to the table the better. Chances are your current work will be better than older work, but there may be some gems from your past that may end up getting you the job. Use your editing eye. Now that you’ve brought out all of your work to be a contender for your portfolio, quickly and intuitively weed out what you are not 110 percent proud of.
