How Do You Create A Fishtail Braid?
A fishtail braid or a Herringbone braid creates a tight Herringbone pattern. This braid works best on medium to long hair without layers. You can braid the hair in a full braid from the top of the scalp or start the braid from a ponytail. Brush or comb the hair to remove any snags and divide the hair into two equal sections. Put hair in a ponytail before dividing to start from a ponytail. Spray each section with a fine mist of aerosol hairspray and smooth with your hands. Make sure the hair is dry before you begin braiding. Separate a section of hair from the outside edge toward the underside of the left section of hair. A fishtail braid looks best when you use thin strips of hair. Pull the section of hair from the left side across the top of the hair and join it with the right section of hair. Cross a section of hair from the right side to the left following Steps 3 and 4. You want to keep the strands the same thickness for the best look. Repeat Steps 3 to 5 until you near the bottom
