First thing is to create a new document in photoshop and make sure you have checked the white background box in the dialogue window. After that, create a new layer. On the new layer make a black square or any basic geometric shape of your choice. (If you choose a different shape other than the one specified your end result may vary). After that go to FILTER>DISTORT>TWIRL and enter a value of 500. Next create another new layer and make a white square, slightly smaller than the black square. Hit CMTRL+F to repeat the TWIRL affect to this layer. After this merge those two layers, and then select the rectangular marquee tool to select the shapes we just made.
