How Do You Create A Candy Cane Valentine?
Leftover candy canes? Use them to make these attractive Valentine’s Day cards. Get out the extra candy canes from Christmas. Discard any that are broken or partially eaten. Sort through the candy canes and create sets of two matching canes. You want your pairs to be the same color and size. You may leave them in their plastic wrappers or take them out. If you unwrap them, they cannot be eaten by the card recipient. Fold a piece of red, white or pink 8-by-10-inch construction paper in half to create a card. You might wish to use actual card stock or computer greeting card paper instead. Create an attractive background on the front of the card using a doily, hand-drawn designs or computer-generated images. Write your Valentine message inside and add any designs or drawings you would like on the inside. If you did not use a doily on the outside, you could glue one inside and write your message on it.
