How Do You Create A 12-Month Indesign Calendar Using A Table?
You can make a 12-month calendar in InDesign using the program’s Table tools. InDesign has many powerful table formatting options, including the ability to create nested tables–that is, smaller tables within larger tables. Starting with a basic table grid for the entire year, smaller grids are added to each of the table’s boxes (called cells) to create a calendar for each month. Text for the month names and dates is added. Taking advantage of InDesign’s ability to use layers, you can easily add notes and other text without disturbing the basic calendar grid. Create a new document in portrait mode and set the page margins to the minimum that your printer will allow. Select the Text tool from the tool palette and draw a text box to fill the page within the margins. Set up the month boxes. Select “Table” from the main menu, and then select “Insert Table.” Set the “Body Rows” to 5 and the “Columns” to 3. Select all the cells in the top row and right-click with the mouse.
