A 3D character story has well-rounded characters that readers can invest in. A story’s success can depend upon having three-dimensional characters that readers can either relate to or at least empathize with. To build these well-rounded characters, you need to be able to take the traits you see in people everyday around you and use them to create fictional characters to populate your story. The goal: Make your readers forget they are reading about a fictional character. Love or hate, readers need to feel something for your characters. Write notes in a notebook about people you see.
