How Do You Cover A Cornice Board?
Covering a cornice board can seem like an intimidating task, but in reality it is really quite easy. Choose a fabric that will match or complement the drapery fabric on your window. Most any fabric will work, but when considering the amount you will need, take into account stripes and designs that have a certain direction. You may need to seam the fabric together depending on the width of your cornice board. These instructions are for a basic rectangle cornice board-shaped box. Use these simple steps as a guide to covering additional cornice boards of various widths. Step 1 Measure the width of the front of your cornice board and the side returns. Add 2 inches on each end for your fabric width measurement. Measure the vertical length of your cornice board and the top. Add 2 inches on each end for your fabric length measurement. Cut one piece of fabric and one piece of quilt batting using these measurements. Step 2 Lay the quilt batting on your work surface. Center the cornice board ups
