The Microsoft Outlook Express 6 application is a basic email client that comes installed by default on all PC computers running Windows XP. If you are switching to a different computer, you can copy your Outlook Express accounts and program options rather than configuring the program from scratch again. In order to transfer Outlook Express data to a new computer, you should use a flash drive or blank CD. Launch the Outlook Express 6 application on your computer. Go to “Tools” in the top menu bar and choose “Accounts.” Go to the “Mail” tab at the top of the pop-up window. A list of all the email accounts you have configured will appear. Click on one of the accounts in the list to highlight it. Press the “Export” button on the right side of the window. Navigate to the flash drive, blank CD or other location to which you want to copy the Outlook Express data.
