• Discourage gossip. When your friend talks about people behind their backs, don’t join in. Just ignore their comments entirely. It would be easy to get sucked in, but you could get yourself into a really sticky situation. If they say something about one of your friends, say something nice about that person. • Discourage the nasty jokes.
