How Do You Cook Spare Ribs In The Oven?

A rainy day does not have to stop you from having a meal that reminds you of an outdoor barbecue. In Texas these small ribs are called Baby Back Ribs. Everyone has their own recipe so here is my take. Choose three medium sized racks of pork ribs. Make sure they are fully thawed if they have been frozen. You will need about four ribs per serving. Place your ribs in a 9 x 13 inch or larger pan. Rub with a light coating of vegetable oil to give your seasonings something to stick to. Sprinkle with brisket seasoning. If you like to heat it up add a light sprinkling of chili powder over the ribs. I added chili powder to two of the ribs and left one off because one of the family members cannot tolerate the heat. That works too. Cover with foil and bake on 325 degrees for four hours. You can turn up the temp to 375 degrees but you will need to shorten the cooking time. Start checking for tenderness after one and a half hours. Temperature makes a difference. Remove the foil or leave it lightly
