How Do You Cook Sloppy Joes For Vegans?
Love “sloppy joes” but trying to eat less meat (or perhaps you are vegan)? This favorite American dish is usually made from ground beef, onions and sweetened tomatoes, but you can make it vegetarian by using textured vegetable protein (TVP) instead of beef. Serve these sloppy joes hot on buns for lunch or dinner. Place a large pan over medium heat and add oil. Wait until the oil has heated enough. Add onions and green peppers and sauté until onions have become green and tender. Add the rest of the ingredients and let them simmer for about 20 minutes or until cooked. Serve with buns.
