How Do You Cook Italian Maccheroni & Cheese (Pasta Al Burro E Parmigiano)?
Italians eat maccheroni and Cheese too, but there it’s called “Pasta al Burro e Parmigiano”. Like many other Italian recipes, the full flavor is reached only by using top quality ingredients and proper preparation. Interestingly, this dish is mostly cooked for kids, as you would expect, and people with some sort of minor illness such as stomach flues, colds, etc. in the misguided belief that tomato based sauces are not good for them and that “in bianco” (white, or in this case, not red) food will agree with them more. Naturally, this totally disregards the fact that to taste good this pasta needs enough butter to cover a soccer field. But I digress.
