How Do You Cook Crispy Chicken Strips?
Really good, tender, crispy chicken breast strips are not just found in restaurants. They can easily be found right in your kitchen and can leave your family or guests wondering how you did it. This is an easy recipe that produces professional results at home. If your chicken breasts are very thick, pound them with a meat mallet until they are about 1/2 to 3/4 inches thick. Using a cutting board and a sharp knife, cut the chicken length-wise into 1 inch strips. Salt and pepper both sides of the strips. Start pre-heating the vegetable oil, either in a frying pan on the stove or a deep fryer. Put the buttermilk in one bowl and the flour into another. Dip the chicken first into the flour, then into the buttermilk, and then into the flour again. Carefully put the breaded chicken strips into the hot oil and fry on all sides until golden brown and crisp.
