How Do You Cook Bacon In A Convection Oven?

In a convection oven hot air is pushed through fans to circulate heat around the food. This cooks the food quickly and evenly. When compared to a standard oven, food cooks faster in a convection oven. Restaurants often cook bacon in their convection ovens. It makes it easier to cook a large batch of bacon, without the fuss of turning individual pieces. Set the convection oven to 350 degrees. Line a cookie sheet or sheet pan with parchment paper. If you do not have parchment paper, spray the sheet with non-stick pan spray. Do not line the sheet with foil, as the cooked bacon will stick to the paper. Lay the bacon strips across the pan in a single layer. Do not overlap edges. Lay flat. Place the pan in the oven on the center of the center rack. Cook for about ten minutes. Remove the cooked bacon from the pan and lay on sheets of paper towel, to absorb the grease before serving.
