How Do You Cook A Whole Chicken In Convection Oven?
Cooking chicken in a convection oven may be challenging your first time or two. The general rule of thumb is 20 minutes for every pound plus 20 more minutes in a regular oven. Convection ovens get much hotter, but now you can have quality chicken every time. Clean out the chicken. Depending on the chicken you purchased, the insides may already be in a bag that you just remove the bag. If there is no bag, remove the heart, liver, gizzard and neck from inside the chicken. Wash the chicken in the sink with cool water inside and out. Place the chicken into the pan, then break four celery stalks in half. Cut the onion in half, then quarters. Insert the celery, one or two quarters of the onion and the half of lemon inside the chicken. Sprinkle the seasoning salt, pepper and rosemary onto the chicken to taste. Pre-heat your oven to 375 degrees. Once at temperature, place the chicken into the oven. Cook the chicken for 15 minutes per pound. Make sure to check the chicken during the last 15 min
