How Do You Cook A Beef Or Pork Roast Effortlessly?
Does your family love roast beef? If so, cook it my way, and they will be begging for more. This is the easiest-non effort way to prepare a roast that will literally fall apart when you try to remove it from the crock pot. First of all, you must have a crock pot or a slow cooker. No kitchen should be without one. If you don’t own one, go out and buy one. I use mine religiously. I use it to cook almost anything that I could cook in the oven. The good thing is that it uses WAY less energy than your oven does. The trick with cooking a roast until it falls apart, is to cook it for several hours. SLOW cook it. I put mine in the crock pot on low before I go to bed at night. Or if I plan to have it for a late dinner, I put it in early in the morning. My general rule of thumb is to cook it for at least 2 to 2 ½ hours per pound, on low. Just put the roast in the crock pot, and turn it on. Do not add any water. It will make plenty of its own juice as it cooks. Sometimes I will add sliced onions
