If you want to use WMV files on your Mac OS X system, you must convert the files into a file type Mac applications can read. Since MOV files were created by Apple, the files work with Mac-based programs such as iMovie and iDVD, making MOV an ideal format option. Go to the Media-Convert or Media Converter page (see Resources). Both of these online systems convert between video formats and provide a download link at the end of the conversion process. Click “Choose File” in Media-Convert or “Upload a File” in Media Converter. Find the WMV file you want to convert to MOV in the window and double-click the file to add it to the converter.
