How Do You Convert Rotary Phone Acronyms Into PDA Phone Keypad Numbers?
Using alphanumeric phone numbers has always been an easy way to recognize a phone number. Older rotary phones used a three letters to every number system that made it an easy process to use. However, if you want to dial 1-800-orderpizza on a PDA you’re in for a surprise since they are usually equipped with a QWERTY keyboard. This means the three letters to every number system wont work. PDA devices are rather intuitive so being able to dial alphanumeric numbers is not a problem. Press the green call button on your PDA to bring up the screen on the phone that allows you to manually type in a phone number. Type in the numeric numbers as you normally would. This is usually 1-800, 1-900 or some variation of the toll-free or toll prefix and the numeric part of the phone number is usually confined to the first half of the phone number.
