QuickTime movie files with the extension “.mov” can be converted into several types of video, audio, and picture files within the QuickTime program. Still pictures can be saved as “jpeg” or “png” files, with alternate options to heighten or lower picture resolution. Open your video in QuickTime. Scroll through the movie and pick the frame you want to convert to a still image. Click “File” in the toolbar.
