QuickTime video formats include formats such as MP4 or MOV. These files generally play on the QuickTime media player. Flash Video format (FLV) on the other hand is a popular format generally used to stream video on the Internet. FLV supports high compressions which enables you to stream video in high quality formats. Using a video converter program, you can convert QuickTime video files to FLV format and upload to your website, video sharing website or favorite social network. Download and install a free video converter program such as AVC video converter (see Resources). AVC is available for both Windows and Macs. Launch the program and click “Add Video.” Locate your QuickTime video file from the location you saved it and click “Open” to import it to the converter program.
