How Do You Convert MPG To MPEG & VCD?
When two files names, such as MPG and MPEG, are so similar, it becomes difficult to tell the difference between the files. For good reason: MPG and MPEG are actually the same file type. MPG is simply an abbreviated version of the name. The MPEG format is the standard video format used for video CDs, also called VCDS. If you want to create a VCD with an MPG video file that you have stored on your computer, you can do so directly. If you prefer, however, to first convert the MPG to MPEG, you can do that too. This way, all of your video format files can have the same extension and be easy to find. Open the “Start” menu and go to “My Computer” or “Computer.” Navigate to the folder on your hard drive that contains the MPG file that you would like to convert to MPEG. Right-click on the file name of the MPG file and select “Rename” from the menu options that appear. Click between the “p” and the “g” in the “mpg” file extension to make the cursor appear there and type an “e” into the space. Pr
