MP4 files are files that support both video and audio and are primarily used as a file format to stream over the Internet. On the other hand, MP3 files are small audio files primarily used on personal audio devices. Converting MP4 files to MP3 files is a simple process as long as you have the right tools. Download and install the latest version of iTunes (see link in Resources). There are many different conversion applications, but iTunes is free and easy to use. Move your MP4 file into iTunes. To do this, drag the file from your Desktop into the iTunes application. You can also right-click the file and select the “Open with iTunes” option. Locate and single click the MP4 file you would like to convert in the iTunes application. Click the “Advanced” tab on the main navigation menu across the top of the application.
