Although MP3 is generally considered the standard audio format across most personal music players, Apple branded products, including the iPod, use a special type of music file known as the AAC. This format is readily accessible through Apple’s iTunes media management software, and you can even use iTunes to convert your MP3 files into AAC. Make a new folder for all the files that you want to convert. It doesn’t matter where you create this file, but it will be most convenient if you put it on the desktop.
