MP3 is a digital audio format typically used for music files. The format is common on files sharing sites, such as LimeWire. When you rip audio tracks from a music CD, the individual files are generally saved in MP3 format. These individual files can be converted to AAC format, another type of audio file designed to have better sound quality than the original MP3 file, by following a few simple steps.
