Thanks to Apple’s agreement with the four major record companies to include only DRM-free audio files for users to purchase, iTunes users now have a lot more freedom when it comes to their purchased music. One of the first things many people want to know is how they can convert their files from the proprietary AAC format of iTunes to MP3 files so that they can share them among multiple machines and users. Launch your iTunes software and click on “Music” under the “Library” heading of the left-hand column of the application window. Select “View>View Options” and make sure the “Kind” box is checked. Click “OK” in the bottom right corner of the dialogue box to return to your library. Scroll over in your library until you see the “Kind” heading and click on it.
