By default, Microsoft FrontPage uses HTML standard to create webpages within the editor. With a few quick changes to your page option settings in Microsoft FrontPage, you can convert your HTML code pages to the more up to date version of HTML–XHTML. These changes will make sure that your website is compliant with the most recent browser updates. Open Microsoft FrontPage 2003 and select “Page Options” from the “Tools” menu at the top of your screen. Click the fourth tab in the bottom row, “Code Formatting,” in the “Page Options” dialog box that is now open. Click the box before the title “Tag names are lowercase” until you see a checkbox in the box. Click the box before the title “Attribute names are lowercase” until you see a checkbox in the box. Uncheck the “Omit end tags” check box if needed. If this option is unavailable for you, that means Microsoft FrontPage is already set to not omit end tags.
