How Do You Convert High Resolution Images?
Although high resolution images are great for print applications, they can cause problems when used on the Internet. These images are often large files that can slow downloads and take up valuable disk space. By resizing your images, you can improve the functionality of your web page and keep visitors from leaving your site. Begin by using Photoshop to open a high resolution image.You can then resize this image by either of the following methods. Click on the ‘Image’ pull down menu, located in the menu bar. Then click on ‘Image Size’. This will open the ‘Image Size’ box that will allow you to adjust the pixel dimensions or the document size. Use the ‘Resolution’ box, located in the ‘Document Size’ area to change the resolution of your image. For use on the Internet, a resolution of no more than 96 pixels/inch is suggested.
