How Do You Convert Garmin Maps To Mapsource?
Garmin’s MapSource is map software that allows global positioning system (GPS) users to create, edit, export, and import GPS data. GPS data contained in MapSource includes, but is not limited to, waypoints, points of interest, routes, and tracks. Maps in Garmin devices are formatted in the .IMG file format. One of the easiest ways to convert Garmin maps to MapSource is by using MapSetToolkit and cgpsmapper. These applications can be downloaded and installed free of charge. Create a “Garmin” folder in your C drive. Go to “Start,” select “Computer,” double-click on Drive C, open “Program Files,” and then create a folder by right-clicking on within the “Program Files” directory, selecting “New,” and then “Folder.” Download cGPSmapper and MapSetToolkit to your computer.
