Microsoft does NOT allow downgrades. So you MUST do one of the following. 1. Buy Windows XP insert the disk in the computer, re-start the computer and boot from the CD/DVD XP install disk, follow the on screen instruction. When you get to where you want to install Windows, delete the current C; partition, Remake the C partition, format it NTSF Full format and continue Windows installation. 2. Format the drive using something like Darik’s Boot and Nuke (BAN) http://www.dban.org/ download then put in the XP install CD and follow the on screen install instructions. NOTE: In both cases you need the XP install disk 3. If your computer came with XP on it and you upgraded to WIndows 7 you can do a factory restore. That comes either on a CD/DVD disk or a special partition on the hard drive. In some cases you can access that partition by pressing the F10 or F11 key. (selected computers with that option) during the boot up process.
