How Do You Convert Flash SWF To FLA?
You may wish to get a sense of how an SWF file is created or you may have lost or accidentally deleted an FLA file. Whatever the reason, you can convert SWF files back to FLA files in a few simple steps. The process can allow you to work backward and get a sense of the files involved in an SWF. The results are not always exact, but in the end, you can grab files and snippets of ActionScript to see how a certain effect was created. Download, install and open a Flash decompiling program (see link in Resources). Choose the SWF file you wish to convert. Add your SWF file into the program. The Mac version of Flash Decompiler Trillix will require you to drag and drop a copy of the file into a specific field. Other versions will usually feature an “Open” or “Add File” option on the main toolbar. Select “Extract” from the main toolbar. Choose a folder to save your file, and open your newly exported FLA file.
