DVD is the standard format that is accepted by all DVD media players both on and off a computer. Although burning a DVD to a standard DVD-R disk will not cause any problems, if you are short on disks and want to conserve them, it’s possible to convert your DVDs to DivX format. It is possible to store multiple titles in DivX format on a DVD-R because they are much smaller in size. One way to do this is by using the DivX Converter program. Go to the Brother Soft website (See Resources) and click the “Download” link. Choose the download location such as “Server 1″ or Server 2”. It does not matter which server you choose. You will now download the DivX Converter program. Walk through the setup wizard and click “Proceed” upon finishing installation. The program will load automatically after installation.
