DVD RAM is a file type that most popular DVD recorders, including LG and Panasonic, record in. DVD RAM files have some major compatibility issues, though, when it comes to standard DVD players, which means that the DVDs recorded on your DVD recorder will likely not work in your regular DVD player. If you want to use a DVD RAM file as a standard DVD file, you will need to convert it first. Step 1 Download TMPGEnc DVD Author. TMPGEnc DVD Author converts RAM to many file types, including DVD. Follow the prompts to install the program onto your computer (see Resources). Step 2 Select a project size.
