If you want to convert your DVD to the VCD (MPEG) format, you will need to have an application that can perform this conversion for you. Surprisingly, some of the major video-editing applications cannot convert from DVD to VCD (Adobe Premiere being one such). For this article, we will use the YASA DVD to MPEG Converter, but there are others that can do this as well. Put a DVD you want to convert into your DVD drive. Then start the YASA Converter. For the Output, select “MPEG-1” (this is the VCD format). Click on the little disk drive icon to start the Output Wizard.
