How Do You Convert Clip On Earrings To Hooks?

0

Clip-on earrings can come in attractive designs that a person with pierced earlobes may want to wear. However, the clips can pinch the earlobes and be uncomfortable. Clip on earrings can also slip off the ears easily and be lost. Fortunately, you can convert clip-on earrings to pierced earrings by using a few simple tools. Use pliers to remove the clip-on back from the earrings. Clean off any excess glue on the back of the earring with a product like Goo Gone. Drill a small hole in the top center of each earring with the Dremel. Make sure the hole is not too close to the edge of the earring or it may crack or split over time from the weight of the earring hanging from the hooks. Open the wire loop on the earring hooks with the pliers. Slide the earring onto the open wire loop and close with pliers. Make sure the front of the earring is facing the opposite way than the straight end of the hook.
